Caroline Urwin

Dance Teacher

Caroline started dancing at the age of 4 at the Pat Yarborough Theatre Dance school in Yorkshire. She excelled at her childhood exams in Ballet, Tap and Modern and then continued onto full time professional dance training at Phil Winston’s Theatre works in Blackpool on a full scholarship, in recognition of her talent and potential.

Caroline’s performing work includes many summer season acts and pantomime’s as a child, and she also gained the lead roles in Dick Whittington and Aladdin in later years. After graduating from college, Caroline performed as a Red Coat and part of the Skyline Pavilion Company at Butlins, before progressing to several acclaimed theatre productions. Her performing credits include The Wind in the Willows UK Tour, Me and My Girl and The King and I.

After getting married, Caroline went on new adventures all around the world as part of her husband’s work and eventually settled in Mallorca with her husband and two children. Here she was able to put down some roots and take up a teaching post at a stage school, where she specialised in Musical Theatre.

Caroline moved back to the UK last year and has settled in Cornwall, and is delighted to be able to pass on her wealth of Musical Theatre and performing experience to the students at Ballaré.
