Catriona Mackay

Dance Teacher

Catriona has danced since the age of 3, Miss Fleet being her first teacher! Since then she studied for her ISTD exams in ballet, tap and modern.


She then went on to train at London Studio Centre, specialising in Musical Theatre in her third year with the company ‘Seedtime’.  She was also awarded a Leverhulme scholarship in her first year.


Whilst studying at college Catriona was selected as a member of the ‘Move It’ performance team in her first year with the choreographers Lee Alexander (commercial) and Rebecca Howell (jazz).  She also performed in ‘Dance Overture’ - the end of year show at The New Wimbledon Theatre.


In her third year she played Crystal Gordon in ‘Bad Girls - The Musical’ at the Pleasance Theatre and Violet in ‘9 to 5’ in Seedtime’s mini musical showcase at the Studio Theatre Artsdepot.


Catriona graduated with a BA(Hons) in Music Theatre. 


After graduating Catriona’s performing credits include ‘Reach Out and Touch for Lupus UK’ in 2017, 2018 and 2019, as dance captain, dancer and singer, at various venues across London including Under the Bridge at Stamford Bridge Stadium. 


In 2018 she toured with Eva Long Productions in their pantomime ‘Aladdin’ in the role of Aladdin.


Catriona was delighted to return to Ballaré, where it all began for her, to be a member of the teaching team.
